.
Lot 9268: Extremely scarce flown Apollo 11 'Type 2' Dow-Unicover cover with a cachet honoring the three crew members and the first step on the moon, 6.5 x 3.5, bearing an August 11, 1969, Webster, Texas quarantine cancellation, signed in blue felt tip by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, and in black ballpoint by Michael Collins. Also flight-certified in the upper left by Aldrin, "EEA-33 Carried to the Moon on Apollo 11." In fine condition. The elusive 'Type 2' variant is considered rarer than the 'Type 1' examples. RR Auction's Space and Aviation Auction 463 Thursday, 22nd October 2015 Estimate: $30000-40000
