Lot 530: TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, no date. In part: "The idea of taking a few commemorative medallions aboard Apollo 7 was to provide a lasting token of the mission for our family and close friends. Although I am now very much aware of the historical significance of Apollo and of our mission, at the time we just took it all for granted. It never entered our minds that, 31 years after the mission, artifacts, especially flown ones, would become so significant and desirable to an emerging group of enthusiasts—The Space Collectors." In fine condition.
