Lot 430: Four items: an ANS signed "Charles E. Yeager, B/Gen. USAF," one page, 5.25 x 7.75, US Defense Representative to Pakistan letterhead, no date, in full: "Hope the photo of the X-1 is OK. For your info the X-1 was a rocket [aircraft] and not a jet!"; a color 6 x 4 postcard photo showing the Bell X-1 suspended at the National Air and Space Museum, signed on the front in black ballpoint, "Chuck Yeager"; a glossy 7 x 5 photo of Yeager in his flight uniform posing in front of the Glamorous Glennis, signed in black ink, "Chuck Yeager"; and a color 10.5 x 7.75 cardstock photo of an artist's depiction of the X-1A aircraft bending the laws of sound and space, signed in fountain pen, "Chuck Yeager, Major U.S.A.F." In overall fine condition, with the signature a shade light on the postcard and a couple edge dings to the X-1A photo. Accompanied by two letters of provenance, including one from Yeager's wife, Glennis, dated January 14, 1988. From the Leon Ford Collection.
