The Hasselblad lunar module camera was used on the Moon

A 70mm Hasselblad EDC (Electronic Data Camera) used by lunar module pilot Jim Irwin during the Apollo 15 mission has sold for $909,084.

The sale took place at Westlicht Photographic Auctions on March 22, with the lot achieving a 236.6% increase on a $270,000 estimate.

It was produced specifically for use on the Moon and was only brought back to Earth by accident after becoming attached to Irwin’s space suit.
