Apollo Expeditions map signed by 15 astronauts
Space memorabilia is always popular and this map of the Apollo's orbits should be popular with collectors as it's been signed by 15 of the astronauts from the various Apollo programmes including Buzz Aldrin, Walt Cunningham and everyone's favourite space-painter Alan Bean.
The auction is taking place at Bonhams, with an estimated value of $4,000-6,000 the signed diagram looks like a huge investment as prices of space memorabilia are always on the rise. Other pieces in the auction include pens and ornaments that travelled to the Moon such as a Fabergé Egg containing a fragment of the Bible, actually placed on the surface of the moon during the Apollo 14 mission.
A fabrege egg on its own is an expensive item but the added provenance of this particular one gives it added moon value, hence the $10,000-15,000 estimate.
