D.S., Ch. Mau. Talleyrand, Being A Signed Cheque, New York, 23Rd May 1795. The Partially Printed Cheque Is Drawn On The Bank Of New York And Is Completed In Talleyrand'S Hand For The Sum Of $25. A Heavy Ink Cross Runs Through The Cheque In The Form Of A Bank Cancellation, Just Affecting Part Of Talleyrand'S Signature. Some Light Age Toning And With Slightly Irregularly Trimmed Edges. Together With An Ink Signature Of Talleyrand On A Small Oblong 12Mo Piece, Evidently Clipped From The Conclusion Of An Official Document. G, 2 Talleyrand Found Himself In The United States After He Was Forced To Leave England In March 1794 Following William Pitt The Younger'S Expulsion Order.
