Lot 434: [Victoria]: (1819-1901) Queen Of The United Kingdom Of Great Britain And Ireland 1837-1901. A Black Feather Aigrette Apparently Previously Owned And Worn By Queen Victoria, The Aigrette, Used For Adorning A Headdress, Comprises Twelve Intertwined Curled Black Feathers Of Various Sizes Which Are Held Together At The Stem. About Vg Provenance: The Aigrette Originated From The Collection Of A Descendant Of A Lady In Waiting To Queen Victoria And Was Sold By Christie'S In 1982 And Purchased By Madame Tussaud'S For Use With Their Wax Replica Model Of The Queen. The Aigrette Is Currently Contained In A Modern And Unrelated Box Bearing Christie'S Official Stickers And With A Printed Madame Tussaud'S Compliments Slip Taped To The Lid, Annotated By A Member Of The Research Department 'Black Feather Aigrette.
