Ball and Fete / Gordon Hall and Victoria Park / Tientsin, September 26, 1902; Place Published: Tientsin, China; Publisher: Tientsin Press; Date Published: 1902; Description: 4 x 6", 3pp. Fine printing on linen-like paper by the Tientsin Press. Front cover, which is separated, possibly as issued, with embossed portrait of the King.Menu of typical British fare: Roast Beef, Roast Lamb, Boiled Yorkshire Ham Garni; Ox Tongue in Aspic; Game Pie; Roast Chicken, etc.; on verso, list of members of the Committee, headed by Sinologist and Consul General L.C.Hopkins, 20 prominent British businessmen, military officers and missionaries. A very rare imprint, just two years after the Boxer Rebellion ended with the Allied looting of Peking. Condition: Very good.
