Today All Have Gone To The Toros Except My Husband And I That Have Been To See The Poor Duchess Of Fernan Nuñez And Her Three Grand Children. They Are Really So Affected That One Feels All The More For Them. Specially The Children Find The Home So Fearfully Lonely.' And Further Referring To Her Brother King Alfonso Xiii, 'Will You Still Be In Andalucia When My Brother Will Go Beginning Of May?'. At That Time Her Mother Maria Christina Of Austria (1858-1929), Queen Consort Of Spain, Was Pregnant, And Had Her Younger Sibling Been A Daughter, She Would Have Become Queen Regent Of Spain. The Baby Would Be A Boy, Future King Alfonso Xiii. Maria De Las Mercedes Died 6 Months After This Later Date At The Early Age Of 24.
