Five of the weirdest pieces of William and Kate memorabilia
Join us as we take a look at five of the weirdest pieces of William and Kate memorabilia
William and Kate (and George) are the most popular members of the British royal family at the moment, with coverage of their Antipodean tour hitting the headlines around the world.
So what better way to celebrate than to take a look at some of the weirdest items of royal memorabilia ever made?
5. Toilet seat
The rest of your house may be stuffed with Kate and Wills tea towels, bears and plates, but the bathroom was always going to be a tricky one. Fortunately, help is at hand with this superb toilet cover!
It features a breathtaking illustration of the young royal family with “Our Little Prince” written in a complimentary font underneath.
Available for under £10 ($16), there really is no excuse for not owning one.

During the endless hours of the royal tour coverage, you’re going to need a fridge liberally stocked with alcohol - preferably one with an icemaker.
This commemorative example was initially mooted for the royal wedding by GE (which had just unveiled a line of customisable coolers), but sadly it seems there were no takers.
The extraordinarily lifelike Arklu dolls - Image: Arklu
Recreate the 2011 royal wedding in the comfort of your own home with these eerily lifelike dolls. The Kate and William examples were produced by Arklu and are now unfortunately sold out, although there are some available on eBay at just over £50 ($83).
Excellent as they are, the dolls pale in comparison with Herobuilder’s extraordinary renditions of the Middleton sisters – which come with fully articulated and bulgingly bemuscled arms.

2. Prince George’s flying helmet and surfboard
Prince George received an array of gifts from the people of Australia and New Zealand, including a possum-skin flying helmet from biplane enthusiast Peter Jackson and a surfboard from the people of Sydney that features an image of popular beauty spot Manly Beach.

The couple were also shown a mocked up picture of Prince George, William and Kate riding on a surfboard. According to Kate, Prince George is “being a bit messy and drooling everywhere” at the moment, making it unlikely he’ll be riding barrels at anytime in the near future.
**1. Condoms **
"The strength of a Prince" - Image: Crown Jewels Condoms
These Crown Jewels condoms were produced for the 2011 royal wedding and combine “the strength of a Prince with the yielding sensitivity of a Princess-to-be”, promising “a royal union of pleasure.”
While the hyperbole promises much, the small print indicates the condoms themselves are expressly designed for novelty purposes and should on no account be worn by members of the public (much like the crown jewels themselves).
