Great Britain 1887 4d green and purple-brown, SG205
Great Britain 1887 4d green and purple-brown, SG205.
A very fine unmounted mint with full original gum pane of twenty with full marginal selvedge from setting 5a. Some light creasing confined to margin, which does not detract from what is a magnificent quality pane.
A stunning Queen Victorian showpiece.
These stamps are known as the "Jubilee" issue as they were issued during the year of the Golden Jubilee of the accession of Queen Victoria to the throne in 1837. Although this label is mere coincidence as they were not intended to celebrate the event.
