“You been farming long?” posters are collectible photographs depicting two young American twin boys dressed in overalls, accompanied by the caption: “You been farming long?” History
The photograph for the posters was taken by the boys’ father in California during September 1978. They were just one-and-a-half at the time.
The photo won third place at the San Luis Obispo County Fair and was subsequently used in a variety of publications, including a cow breeders' magazine and a dairy equipment company’s calendar.
In 1982 magazine publisher Roy Reiman offered the picture, allied with its now famous caption, as a free poster with every subscription to his new magazine, Country Kids.
The photo and the caption have been duplicated several times since.
