Lot 256: The Hobby Horse Dealer. One of a celebrated series of hand-coloured prints satirizing the short-lived vogue for hobby hoses, this one published in July 1819, a group of men surround and assess the quality of a hobby horse in the foreground of the image, while three real horses, 'to be sold as cheap as dogs meat', look on, the print is in sound, clean condition, and measures 24 x 34cm, mounted, framed and glazed.
