David Bowie's READ poster to be re issued
The American Library Association has announced that they are to re issue a limited number of their classic 1987 READ campaign posters featuring David Bowie.
Bowie, an avid reader, was one of the first artists to sign up to the long running READ campaign which uses images of celebrities in a bid to get young people into reading.
A number of famous faces have posed for the campaign clutching books since. Including Stephen Hawking who chose a biography of Marilyn Monroe and Orlando Bloom who, somewhat unsurprisingly, chose The Lord of the Rings.
Bowie however chose Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s The Idiot.
The poster is available to pre order now.
