About The Opportunity

We are a relatively new but fast growing business with offices at 19 Britannia Place, Bath Street, St Helier.

We are working on exciting technology development and an ambitious sales and marketing plan this year. 

To help support our growth, we are looking for an assistant working alongside our small team of experts and sales staff.

You will be helping us with all sorts of things including assisting in  organising networking events, supporting our sales team, helping design marketing materials, assisting with book keeping and meeting and greeting clients. 

No two days will be the same!

You will very quickly become an important and valued member of our team.

We understand what we do is not mainstream. So, we do expect and intend to give you full training and support to enable you to succeed in your new role.

As we are a start-up, you career potential will be inextricably linked to the growth of the business. If we grow, you grow with us – simple as that.

The bit you really want to know about

I am sure by now you are probably thinking, this sounds interesting but what’s the offer.

We are able to offer flexible working hours based on a 5-hour per day working week…

For example, 9:30am to 2:30pm works fine for us.

We are also able to offer additional flexibility for school holidays. In short, we are a dynamic company and not rigid in our working hours so, as far as practicable, we can work around you.

We are able to offer a starting salary of £18,000 pa dependent on experience and subject to annual review.

You will also be included in the company’s discretionary annual bonus scheme. That makes sure you share in the company’s success. This is at the core of our culture.

You will be entitled to 20 days paid holiday per annum and all public holidays. Your holiday entitlement will also increase by 1 day per year of service up to 25 days after 5 years of service.

Full Job Description

Office Assistant 

Reporting to:                           Chief Executive Officer

Location:                                 St. Helier, Jersey


Our small but fast growing company needs a reliable, well organised Office Assistant to help us with the day-to-day support tasks of running the business together with assisting our sales and marketing team. The successful applicant will have a positive attitude, a desire to work as efficiently as possible and possess excellent communication skills.

The Office Assistant performs a wide range of clerical and administrative duties while consistently providing a high level of customer service and support.


Sales and Marketing

  • Providing assistance to the Head of Sales including producing letters, reports, spreadsheets and filing
  • Data entry, particularly in assisting with customer database management
  • Assisting in research and preparation of client presentations and marketing literature
  • Assisting with company social media posts


  • Assisting Group Accountant with bookkeeping duties including sales invoicing,  accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Assisting with stock control of collectibles
  • Creating, editing and updating spreadsheets

Client relationships

  • Responding to client requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Assisting with organising and hosting various networking events with clients
  • Greet clients upon arrival and direct them to offices
  • Answering incoming calls when required and forwarding appropriately

Office management

  • Maintain and order office supplies
  • Assist with general appearance of office and identifying any maintenance issues
  • Assisting with preparation of meeting rooms

General office administrative duties

·      Manage movement of collectibles stored in our secure storage facilities to and from our offices

·      Providing photocopying and distribution services

·      Process outgoing mail and managing despatch of collectibles

·      Put in place and maintain efficient filing system

·      Performs other assigned duties that are within the area of knowledge and skills required by the job description  


  • 1-2 year’s experience in office work desirable
  • 1+ year’s customer service experience preferable
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic design skills an advantage but not a requirement

JewelStreet Limited is an online marketplace dedicated to offering one-of-a-kind pieces of jewellery from independent jewellery designers.

We have quickly grown to become the world’s largest designer jewellery website representing c.500 individual designers listing over 20,000 unique pieces of jewellery for sale.

We are a small team but the team is growing fast  and in line with the speed of our business growth.

Our businesses do not have any debt and have substantial asset backing.
