Federação Brasileira de Filatelia (The Brazilian Federation of Philately (FEBRAF)) is a stamp collectors philatelists organisation based in Rio de Janeiro.

 

About the club

The Brazilian Federation of Philately (FEBRAF) was founded on December 17, 1976. It is a civil society from a cultural, non-profit organisation designed to promote and integrate the philatelic activities in the country and represent it internationally.

The maintenance of FEBRAF comes from its members and the cooperation of authorities and individuals. The FEBRAF is based in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

Objectives

According to its website, the club aims to:

  • a) promote, regulate and harmonize all philatelic activity developed by philatelists in the country
  • b) ensure and coordinate the implementation of an annual series of philatelic events and exhibitions
  • c) seek to ensure, within its competence and capacity, harmonization of relations and interests among stamp collectors and philatelic dealers
  • d) coordinate and ensure global representation of the common interest of philatelists Brazilian national, together with official bodies and the Brazilian Postal Administration
  • h) edit or sponsor philatelic publications
