There's a lot going of historical intrigue in this wartime Italian postage stamp: aside from the image of Victor Emmanuel III, there's also what appears to be the image of a fasci emblazoned over the top of the image. That image is accompanied by another two fasci bordering the bottom of the frame and fasci is of course where the word 'fascist' comes from. The extremely rare stamp is expected to sell for £1,200-1,400 at auction at Sandafayre on the 20th of January.
