Lot 341: Author: N/A; Title: The Crimes and Atrocities of the Ku Klux Klan by K.A.P.: A Competed Expose of All Proven Klan Outrages to Date; Place Published: [Philadelphia]; Publisher: N/A; Date Published: [c.1925]; Description: [8] pp., all blank. 14.5x11.5 cm (5x4½"), original printed wrappers.A tongue-in-cheek, or perhaps passive-aggressive, defense of the Ku Klux Klan, there being no "crimes" to print on the inner pages, and the rear wrapper listing 17 nefarious types or organizations that are fighting the Klan, including Every Criminal, Every Libertine, Every Girl Ruiner, Every Dope Peddler, Every Crooked Politician, Every Pagan Papist Priest, Every Shyster Lawyer, Every White Slaver, Every Brothel Madam, etc., with the final query, "Think it over, Which Side Are You On?" A rare piece, no copies being listed as present in institutional libraries by OCLC/WorldCat. Condition: A few neat tape repairs to front wrapper and along spine; very good. PBA Galleries' Sale 578: Americana, Travel/Exploration, Cartography, African/Asian Americana and Directories Thursday, 28th January 2016 Estimate: $200-300
