Lot 329: Irish political leader (1775-1847) best known for his tireless efforts on behalf of Catholic Emancipation and the repeal of the Act of Union which combined Ireland and Great Britain. ADS, one page, 8 x 13, October 12, 1888. Legal document, in part: "If...Ann Collins is able to prove that the money in question belonged absolutely and without any condition to her, she would be entitled to recover the money." Mounted, double-matted, and framed with an engraved portrait to an overall size of 22 x 20.25. In very good condition, with intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature) and moderate scattered soiling.
