Lot 16: Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 11 x 15.25, no date but circa 1831–1833. Unissued scallop-top ship's pass, left blank and signed in advance by President Fillmore and Secretary of State Edward Livingston. The white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains fully intact. Intersecting folds (two vertical folds passing through letters of the signature) and moderate overall soiling, otherwise fine condition. These were often left blank and signed in advance before being sent out to American ports, where they were filled out as needed.
