Lot 143: Two items: a TLS, one page, 6.25 x 8.5, personal letterhead, March 22, 1984, thanking the addressee for a gift to his bottle collection, adding, "I dug up many of my bottles in south Georgia"; and a DS signed "James E. Carter, Jr.," one page, 7.25 x 3.25, September 6, 1963, confirming receipt of one bale of cotton by Carter's Bonded Warehouse. In overall fine condition, with expected cancellation stamps and document wear to the receipt. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope for the letter bearing a stamped free frank.
