Lot 1135: Alexander Ii: (1818-1881) Emperor Of Russia 1855-81. Assassinated. D.S., Alexander, In Cyrillic, Two Pages, Folio, Kransoye Selo, 17Th July 1864, In Cyrillic. The Partially Printed Document Being A Decree To The Chapter Of Russian Imperial Orders Stating 'In Recognition For The Excellent And Diligent Service Given, The Officers Listed Below Have Been Appointed With The Imperial Order Of Saint Stanislav'. The Merit Award Given By The Tsar Alexander Ii, To A Short List Of Five Officers, Reads That First Of Them, Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Gerasimov, Has Received The 2Nd Class Order Of The Imperial Order Of Saint Stanislav, And The Remaining Four The 3Rd Class One, And Concludes With 'Thereby, We Order The Chapter To Award These Knights With The Orders And Deeds'. Countersigned At The Foot Of The Document By The Minister Of War, General Miliutin.
