First professional Marilyn Monroe photograph to auction
The first professional photograph taken of Marilyn Monroe is to auction in Wiltshire this Saturday.
The photograph was taken by photographer Joseph Jasgur as a test shot before the full photoshoot on Zuma beach in California, which is regarded as Monroe's first official modelling shoot.
The photograph shows a fresh faced young Marilyn in a white wool jumper and was taken in the March of 1946. The original negative is due to auction with Henry Aldridge and Sons of Devizes in Wiltshire on valentines day and is valued at just over $3,000.
