Relish Guitars present: Jane
Kudos go to Relish Guitars for creating something new and interesting in the world of guitaring, it's hard to be completely fresh in an industry that is still mostly based on designs from the 1950s. This guitar, Jane could be different, it looks different but exactly the same and I'd love to try one out.
Firstly, just from a personal point of view I'm a big fan of satin, natural wood finishes, they feel great and comfortable to play. The slightly slanted cutaway on the body looks good for that too. Most interesting are the tone knobs which have been replaced by touch sensitive buttons that turn the pickups on or off.
The whole back of the guitar is aluminium construction too, with a magnetic reat to give you the chance to tinker. At $5,000 per guitar however I wouldn't be tempted to do too much in the way of modifications. I like the aluminium frame idea, which makes it look like an iPod too!
