Phil Everly's Gibson acoustic at Bonhams

The Everly Brothers continue to have a hugely loyal fan base and wide audience for their music and it's easy to see why. Heading to auction at Bonhams is Phil Everly's 1967 Gibson Acoustic guitar, complete with the unusual star inlays on the fingerboard. The guitar was given as a gift to the band's bassist and often songwriter with the band in 1973. The guitar comes with it's original hard case (stencilled "Everly Bros.") as well as some sheets of unfinished lyrics. Estimated value for the guitar is £10,000- 15,000. Wouldn't be too surprised to see a Gibson tribute model soon, either!
