1968 modified Gibson SG at auction
If this modified '68 Gibson SG could talk it would probably say "Aaaaaah, I'm full of holes! That really hurts!" but it would also have some interesting stories to tell. The SG is an interesting setup, it's got the larger pickguard, just two volume/ tone knobs and clearly at one point had a tremolo fitted.
It's not too often you'll see an SG with P90 pickups fitted either. All this mystery for such a nice guitar. For me the biggest shock is the fact the estimated value is only £500-700, which if you think about it is a bargain for a genuine '60s Gibson. Really that's probably largely down to the fact much of it may be due to the fact so little of it is original.
