1835 Italian Violin could sell for $220,000
Expected to be the most valuable lot in Skinner's upcoming Fine Musical Instruments auction is this glorious 19th century Italian violin, made by Joannes Franciscus Pressenda, with a high estimate of $220,000.
Made in 1835, the violin still has the label that reads "Es Franciscus Pressenda Q Raphel Taurini Anno Domini" as well as its original case.
It is also worth noting that the violin looks to be in exceptionally nice condition.
