One of Matt Bellamy's guitars is auctioning for charity
Heads up Musers! The lovely folk over at The Helen Foundation are offering fans the chance to own one of Muse frontman Matt Bellamy's guitars - and this one has actually been used both in the studio and on tour.
The guitar is a custom MB-1 guitar created especially for Bellamy by the Manson Guitar Works and has been used throughout Muse's most recent Drones tour-before lead-singer Matt threw it into the air at London's 02 Arena, causing it to crash onto the stage.
The guitar is still in 'playable condition' - which is surprising for Matt Bellamy who holds the world record of most guitars smashed on stage during a single tour.
These guitars are exceedingly rare in their own right with, to my knowledge, only a certain number of each ever produced. In the past Bellamy's guitars have been known to sell for over £30,000 for charity but none of these past sales have offered an instrument which the Muse front man has actually owned and played!
Serious bidders are advised to contact Adrian Ashton via Manson Guitar Works (firstname.lastname@example.org). You have until the 15th of August to place your bids.
All money from the sale will go t the Devon based charity The Helen Foundation, of which Muse are patrons.
