Ohio pays tribute to DEVO at DEVOtional festival
Akron Ohio was overrun with Booji Boys at the weekend as the town paid tribute to their finest post-rubber export DEVO, during the annual DEVOtional festival.
The famous 1978 image of the band by Janet Macoska standing in front of the long since shut down Chilli Dog Mac was enlarged, colorized and stapled to the same building where the hot dog stand used to be.
To make things that little bit more DEVO a 'Running of the Booji Boys' was completed-where a few dozen revellers danced to DEVO's music wearing the famous blue jumpsuits and identical masks which the band created to atirize infantile regression in Western culture.
The event was attended by DEVO bassist Jerry Casale and photographer Janet Macoska.
