EXPIRED
17th August 2017
Lot 4004
Vintage circa 1963 ballpoint signatures, "Beatles, Ringo Starr," "Paul McCartney," and "John Lennon" on an off-white 4 x 3.75 sheet matted with an adjoining ballpoint signature, "George Harrison," on a beige 4 x 1 slip. Also included is an ink signature, "God love you, Ed Sullivan," on an off-white 4.75 x 2.75 card. All signatures are double-matted with a large glossy photo of the Fab Four standing with Sullivan to an overall size of 19 x 20.25. In very good to fine condition, with toning to the Beatles signatures, a stain to the bottom of the Harrison slip, and two areas of surface loss to the Sullivan card. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks for the Beatles signatures. An estimated 73 million viewers watched the Beatles perform on The Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964, an historic television event that heralded both the forthcoming British invasion and the emergence of Beatlemania across North America. The addition of Sullivan makes for a truly uncommon and highly sought-after Beatles display.
Estimate: $4000-$6000
