Lot 2082: A rare 16'' mono 33 rpm record for the 1957 March of Dimes 'Galaxy of Stars' campaign, featuring a recording of Elvis Presley's song 'Love Me Tender' as well as his pre-recorded answers to several interview questions. Includes the original five-page memo from the March of Dimes, including scripted questions to be asked on-air by the DJ before Elvis's recorded answers, in part: "The Elvis Presley portions of the script are recorded, with blank grooves left between his speeches for you to speak your portions of the interview live. The show has been prepared to give the impression that Elvis is in the studio with you." Both the memo and label on the record bear text reading: "Please Destroy Transcription After Campaign." Some scattered scratches to the surface of the record, otherwise overall fine condition.
