Letter written by Morrissey at 17 to auction
A rare letter written by a 17 year old Morrissey when he was still just, in his own words, old ''clumsy and shy" Steven is up for auction at Bonhams.
The letter is dated from the 8th of September 1976 and concerns the singers beloved and much championed New York Dolls and other punk bands from the time.
Morrissey would come to drop the name Steven as The Smiths began, even later joking that it just reads 'Mozza' on his passport.
The letter is thouyght to be worth around £500 - 700 and will be up for auction on the 24th of June.
