Arthur 'Killer' Kane bass guitars to auction
A number of guitars and bass guitars formally owned by New York Doll Arthur 'Killer' Kane is to be offered at Heritage Auctions as part of a large entertainment memorabilia auction in September.
The guitars have been donated to the auction house by Barbara Garrison Kane and include a guild jetstar electric bass and a danelectro bass electric guitar.
Kane was a founding member of the New York Dolls and remained an integral member of the glam rock pioneers until he was forced out in 1975. Kane later rejoined the band for a reuinion concert in 2004 which was organised by former Smiths singer Morrissey.
Kane passed away just 22 days after the reuinion concert took place after being diagnosed with leukemia.
The guitars will be up for auction from the 19th-20th of September.
