Screen Bid presents Mad Men prop auction
Mad Men may have ended, but fans now have the opportunity to own a little piece of their favourite show.
Hollywood online auction site Screen Bid is offering a selection of props and costumes from the award-winning series, which ran on AMC for seven seasons before ending earlier this year.
More than 1,500 props, costumes and set decorations from the show will be up for grabs, from furnishings and ornaments to Don Draper's famous suits and even his car.
Just like the show, the catalogue for the sale is dripping with vintage 60s style.
For bidders looking to emulate the enigmatic Don Draper, played by the Emmy-nominated Jon Hamm, there's a selection of his screen-worn Brookes Brothers suits, his sunglasses, a cigarette case and even his office bar set, which is in remarkably good condition considering its heavy use over the years.
Items from Don's complicated private life also include a fondue set from the originalDraper family household; the engagement ring given to his second wife Megan; and the cheque for $1 million that he gave her following their subsequent divorce.
And the sale's most impressive lot is by far Don's 1965 Cadillac Coupe de Ville, in which he spent much of the series smoking, contemplating and cheating on his wife.
But no matter who your favourite character, there's a prop for you – whether it's Stan Rizzo’s bongos, Bert Cooper's tea set, Peggy Olson’s check from Dow Chemical, Megan Draper's wedding ring, Joan Harris' emerald necklace or Ken Cosgrove’s eye patch.
The Screen Bid sale runs online from July 31 to August 6.
