This 'previously unseen' Back to the Future poster is so rare no one knows who designed it.

The poster is being sold at Ewbanks Auction house in Surrey in February as part of the collection of a former Lonsdale Advertising employee, who were the London based company hired to promote the film in 1985.

The poster shows a black and white image of Marty McFly's parents in 1955, looking on as Marty crashes through their 1950's world in full 1985 color-with only the bonnet of the famous DeLorean car visible. The tag line for the poster reads 'Marty’s parents were destined to meet in 1955. Until Marty dropped in from the future".

The poster never made it to a full print run and the design was eventually ditched in favor of American Drew Struzman's poster art-the legendary designer who completed posters for over 150 classic films including Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Rambo.

The poster will be up for sale with an estimate of £200 to £400 on February 11-12.
