BRILLIANT film. You don't often see memorabilia from F for Fake, and a film reel is just an eminently cool item to own. $200 bargain.

I would love to get into collecting film reels. They're a bit hard to get hold of though aren't they?

I think most would still be held by studios, so rare to see one at auction. Not so sure Orson Welles is that collectible? Juliens only got $160 for a pair of his trousers a year or so back

I guess Welles is just pretty niche. He has a massive cult following (me included), and I always think cult followings should be kept an eye on for potential future investment interest.

Film reels are super exciting... I read about this antique collector in the UK who bought a container with an old film inside from eBay for £3.30. The film inside was titled “Charlie Chaplin in Zepped”, a previously unseen Chaplin film. It has since been valued at £40,000!

Orson Welles is extremely collectible...and valuable, if you are talking Citizen Kane. Anything from that movie will achieve excellent results.
