Lot 978: Vintage glossy 7 x 9.5 head–and–shoulders portrait of Will Rogers wearing a tuxedo and bow tie, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To My Friend Gil—from, Old Man Rogers," who adds below, "'Trying to make em funny.'" Matted and framed to an overall size of 13.5 x 16. A few spots of soiling, slight scattered creasing, and some irregular ink adhesion to the inscription, otherwise fine condition.
