$1M reward offered for stolen Wizard of Oz slippers
An anonymous donor has offered a $1 Million reward for the safe return of a pair of ruby red slippers worn by Judy Garland in the classic film 'The Wizard of Oz' which were stolen almost 10 years ago.
The iconic slippers were stolen from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minn in the August of 2005-though the person or persons stole nothing else during the raid.
The offer insists upon the exact location of the slippers as well as the perpetrators name.
Only 4 pairs of shoes from the film are known to exist today-one pair is happily fixed in the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C, another in the private collection of movie memorabilia fanatic David Elkouby and the last were bought by Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio in 2012 for a staggering $2 Million.
