WWII Army & Air Force Patches are original patches worn by members of the military services who served during the Second World War.

Brief history and description

WWII Army Air Force patches and shoulder insignia are some of the most highly sought after WWII memorabilia items on the market today. These patches were produced in a variety of different styles, designs and materials during the second World War, and were made from materials such as cotton, wool and felt.

WWII Army Air Force patches are usually very colourful, while rank patches tend to be green or tan. The majority of patches usually have an embroidered back, however, it is not uncommon to find WWII Army Air Force patches that have been painted on as well.

Guide for collectors

WWII Army Air Force patches that are sold as a lot are considered to be the most rare and valuable. WWII Insignia patch books are considered to be rare as well. Patches that were once worn by a notable officer or soldier are also considered to be rare and valuable.

Restoration of a WWII Army Air Force patch is not recommended. If you do decide to restore a WWII Army Air Force patch, it may decrease its value.
