Vintage Ballantine’s duck liquor decanters are collectible items of breweriana advertising.

According to the 1930 Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act’s definition, “vintage” refers to pieces manufactured within the last 100 years and can include items made as recently as the 1980s.

Ballantine’s is a brand of whisky produced by the Dumbarton, Scotland-based distillery George Ballantine & Son.

It has been produced since 1827 and is famed for its combination of 50 single malts.

Vintage Ballantine’s duck liquor decanters were produced in 1969.

Designed in the form of a male mallard, the duck’s head can be removed, enabling the storage and pouring of whisky.

Made from China, they are 12.25 inches in length and are stamped with “Ballantines” on the underside of the duck and feature labels on both flanks of the bird.
