Video of the week: How you can invest in the future of Royal collectibles

The upcoming Royal wedding will offer a host of collectibles. But where is the smart money going?

The date is set, the nation is on standby and the commemorative tea-towel industry has gone into overdrive.

When Prince William and Kate Middleton announced their engagement last month, production lines had already starting rolling on the next set of royal wedding collectibles before a date had even been set.

Now we know the whole country will be celebrating on April 29th next year (even if it's just due to the new Bank Holiday), collectors are already looking at how to profit from the upcoming nuptials.

And although the market will be flooded with a procession of mugs, t-shirts and key rings with the faces of the future King and Queen on them, their mass-production means that these collectibles are unlikely to be worth much in the years to come.

But for canny investors there will always be some royal memorabilia whose value is certain to appreciate. The key is in finding unique, personal pieces which mark a moment in time.

Our video of the week gives you some tips oninvesting wisely in royal wedding memorabilia: it shows you how to pick thecollectible gems from the sea of mass-produced merchandise, and gives an insight intohow muchthose items could be worth in the future....
