An untitled work by Anish Kapoor is expected to bring 450,000-650,000 ($760,000-1.1m) when it crosses the block at Bonhams London on July 2.

The lot, which will headline the post war and contemporary art auction, was created in 2005 and is typical of Kapoor's recent work - which primarily consist of huge polished mirrors.

His auction record stands at a relatively low $1.9m (set in 2008) despite his status as one of the world's highest profile living artists.

This is primarily due to the fact that Kapoor rarely creates multiples, focusing instead on public commissions.

He stated in a 2010 interview with Bloomberg: "I'm not interested in art that is about the market: I find that small, small-minded

"All artists are after the idea that the work enduresMonetary value is part of the test of endurance."
