Any movie poster from the 1931 Universal film is sought after by collectors, with only a few single sheets, a solitary six-sheet and a partial half sheet ever found. This example is unique, with the $50,000-100,000 estimate serving as testament to its extreme rarity.

While this is the only insertsize (14 x 36 inches)poster thought to exist, there are two other Australian daybills known, though they are both in different layouts and with different colours.

The example at auction has had its edges trimmed at some point in its history and features several repaired tears and chips. However, it has never been folded and is in remarkable condition for its age.

The 1931 production of Frankenstein, starring Boris Karloff, is one of the most celebrated horror films of all time. It came after the success of Universal's The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923) and The Phantom of the Opera (1925).

A"styleA"half sheet from The Wizard of Oz (1939) is also expected to see strong bids, valued at $20,000-40,000.

The rare poster, which has been magnificently restored, will be sold in a lot that includes some 28 pages from the original press book for the film, whichcontains promotional posters, sheet music, cut-outs, flags and banners, as well as instructions for a "Back to School with the Wizard of Oz " campaign.

Paul Fraser Collectibles is currently offering an extremely rare signed photograph of a young Judy Garland.
