Home to such coveted and collectible vintages as Ptrus, La Fleur-Ptrus and Trotanoy, the Bordeaux region is considered by many to be the wine capitol of the world.

Moueix's quote refers to the region's 2009, described by some asthe region's"best ever" harvest, withcomparisons being drawn to the legendary 2005, 1989 and 1982 vintages.

A particular highlight among Bordeaux wines is the Chateau Lafite. It is arguably the most revered of the First Growths, both as a wine to savour and as a secure andhighly-profitable investment.
