The star wears Piaget: A watch engraved with Anne Hathaway's autograph sells today

The actress's fine timepiece is auctioning for charity, as is a wristwatch offered by Ralph Lauren

As regular readers will know, American actress Anne Hathaway has had some of the jewellery given to her by her ex-boyfriend go under the hammer recently, as it was confiscated following his imprisonment for various kinds of fraud.

For the next few hours, an auction of her jewellery which Hathaway will be happier to be associated with is open to bidders interested in jewellery or the star's memorabilia with the proceeds going to charity.

The piece, on offer at CharityBuzz is a Piaget watch: 'Limelight Magic Hour" with Anne Hathaway's autograph engraved in the band. It is an 18 karat rose gold ladies' watch set with 36 cut diamonds, Piaget 56p quartz movement and has an 18 karat rose gold pin buckle on a white satin strap.

Anne Hathaway became famous for her role as Mia Thermopolis in the Disney family comedy The Princess Diaries (2001) and became a well-known face worldwide following her leading roles in The Devil Wears Prada (2006) and appeared in Becoming Jane (2007).

In 2008, she earned widespread critical acclaim for her lead role in the film Rachel Getting Married, for which she won numerous industry awards, and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. The auction closes in a few hours' time. Hurry!
