Now, the real-life Schindler's list is up for sale with an incredible asking price of $2.2m.

Compiled by Schindler and Itzhak Stern, the great violinist and humanitarian, the list is reportedly dated April 18, 1945. Thirteen pages long, it lists 801 names.

The list is being sold by a collector based in upstate New York, on a "first come, first serve" basis.

Schindler's List, Steven Spielberg's epic screen retelling of the story, received great acclaim and Academy Awards upon its release in 1993.

The film starts Liam Neeson as Schindler, alongside Ralph Fiennes as Schutzstaffel (SS) officer Amon Gth.
