The Nightmare Before Christmas Memorabilia relates to the 1993 animated Disney film of the same name.

Brief history and description

The Nightmare Before Christmas is a stop-motion musical fantasy/horror film directed by Henry Selick and co-written and produced by Tim Burton; (although the film is also promoted with the title Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas).

Approximately 227 puppets were created to represent the characters in the film, and it is said that the filmmakers constructed 400 different heads for the movie's main character Jack Skellington.

In 2004 a video game based on the movie for PlayStation 2 and XBox was developed (titled: The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge) and a collectible Nightmare Before Christmas card game was released by NECA in 2005.

Guide for collectors

Items that were used during the shooting of the film are considered to be the most rare and valuable. Lenticular Nightmare Before Christmas posters featuring numerous different pumpkins in the center of the poster are considered to be rare.

Restoration of a memorabilia item is recommended, but only if there is noticeable damage. However, restoring the item may decrease its value.
