Steiff Dicky teddy bears are collectible teddy bears, first manufactured by Steiff in 1930.

Steiff is a German plush toy manufacturer, founded by Margarete Steiff in 1880.

Margarete Steiff’s nephew, Richard Steiff, designed “Bear 55PB” in 1902, arguably the world’s first toy bear.

In 1903, Richard presented the bear at the Leipzig Toy Fair. US businessman Hermann Berg saw the bear and placed an order for 3,000, setting Steiff on its way to success.
