Some free expert advice for your Russian art

Collectors in Europe can have their Russian artworks valued many miles from Moscow, in Belgrade

Here, you can read an interview with the Antiques Roadshow and Paul Fraser Collectibles valuation expert, Reyne Haines - but Russian auction house Bruun Rasmussen is giving collectors an opportunity to meet another internationally acclaimed expert, on April 7.

Renowned art expert Elena Nesterova, from Saint Petersburg, will be offering valuations for visitors' Russian paintings and drawings in the run-up to Bruun Rasmussen's July auction.

Although the appraisals will be held many miles fromMoscow,in Belgrade, Serbia.

Nesterova will be in attendance alongside a number of other Bruun Rasmussen valuation experts, each perusing visitors' art, silver and porcelain and imparting their specialist advice.

What's more, collectors with items too big to carry can bring along a photograph instead.

Work's in Bruun Rasmussen's forthcoming sale will include Marine med sejlskib p bent hav by Ivan Constantinovich Aivazovsky, estimated at DKK 75,000-100,000 (pictured).

The Russian valuation event will takes place in Copenhagen, on Wednesday, April 7 -an unmissable "mini-Antiques Roadshow" for collectors in the regiona.
