Signature House is a US auctioneer based in California. It specialises in signed historical documents and manuscripts.

The company has enjoyed an 85 per cent success rate at its recent auctions.

History

Signature House was established by Gil and Karen Griggs in 1994 at their home in Baltimore.

The company has grown from a small auction house, only selling a handful of autographed items, to a major organisation, offering a range of fine manuscripts and documents in addition to other collectible items.

Purchase

Signature House was recently bought by Marc Grossman. This saw the company move from east coast to west. It is now based in Upland, California.

Grossman has vowed to maintain the high standards that Signature House is known for. Gil and Karen Griggs are still playing a major role in the company through the managing and training of new staff.

Marc Grossman

Marc Grossman, the new owner of Signature House, is a Californian lawyer and collector. He is a respected dealer of rare historical manuscripts.
